Robert L. Black, 91, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 in his home. He was an inventory control manager for upscale Chevrolet dealerships in California. He also handled high-end luxury vehicle distributorship and sales for Bill Harrah of Harrah’s Casinos in Reno, Nevada. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and member of Victory Church. He was a very special man loved by many.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Black; his son, Michael Black of Pocola, Oklahoma; two daughters, Sherri Norwood and Joni Fletcher both of Sacramento, California; two stepsons, Kevin Green of North Carolina and Perry Green of Fort Smith; two brothers, Eldon Black of Dallas, Oregon and Jerry Black of Seneca, Missouri; two sisters, Doris Stanfield of El Dorado, Kansas and Shirley Duncan of Valley Center, Kansas; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Marilyn Lee Higgs Black and Ann Olivia Sherman Black.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. His ashes will be interred in McLouth Cemetery in McLouth, Kansas.
Cremation under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas.
