Robert Eugene Gilbert, D.M.D. sadly passed away on June 7, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 88. Dr. Gilbert was passionate about dentistry and practiced in Paris for many years before finally retiring in 2016.
Bob Gilbert was born on May 15, 1934, in Loon Lake, WA to Margaret Stearns (Lane) Gilbert and Harold Burnham Gilbert. He later moved to Eugene, OR with his mother where he attended elementary school, high school, and the University of Oregon where he received his bachelor’s degree. He later attended the University of Oregon Dental School in Portland, OR. Dr. Gilbert was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and served at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, WA.
Dr. Gilbert is survived by his five children, son Thomas (Bonnie) Gilbert, daughters Linda (Randy) Smith, Lisa (John) Lenz, Susan Langsner, and Janis (Wayne) Workman. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
