Robert William Trusty

Robert William Trusty, 49, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 in his home. He was born April 21, 1975 in Ames, Iowa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Navy Seal. He was a supporter of numerous children and military nonprofit organizations, including the Valhalla Project. He was a huge dog lover and fan of the music group 311.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Benson of Greenwood; his children, Jadyn Trusty of California, Christopher, Jordan, Ashley, Deanna and Jeni; one brother, Chris Trusty of Georgia and five grandchildren, Elias, Jahseh, Genesis, Cruz and Mulisha. He is also survived by one aunt, Darcie Asbridge of North Dakota; four uncles on the Trusty side, Barry of Tennessee, Milo of Colorado, Mike and Bob of California and one aunt on the Trusty side, Sharon of Wyoming and a number of cousins amongst the Trusty and Asbrdige sides of his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Trusty and mother, Debbie Sanders.

Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Inurnment will be at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
