

Ron Worked for Waggoners Trucking. He never met a stranger and always had a willingness to help others in any way. Ron loved cooking, traveling, calling the Hogs, Nascar and riding his Harley. He was a past EMT with Sebastian county, Vietnam Army veteran, Purple Heart recipient and member of the Vietnam Veterans Association.
He is survived by a son, Steven Greenfield of Newport, Tennessee; a daughter, Tiffany Sharum and husband, Neal of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Adelyne and Jax Sharum of Fort Smith; three sister, Mary Sims and husband, Mike of Cabot, Arkansas, Janet Jamieson and husband, John of Enid, Oklahoma, Pam Keeling and husband, Tom of Saint Joe, Arkansas, and two brothers, Keith Greenfield and wife, Asenette of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Larry Greenfield and wife, Karen of Camden, Arkansas; a best friend and roommate, Barry “Bear” Miller and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Janie Greenfield.
Graveside service will be 1 pm Wednesday, August 10 at U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas.
Viewing will be Tuesday from 1-8 pm at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5-7.
Honorary pallbearers will be Neal Sharum, Chris Flannigan, Ed McClelland, Dennis Adair, Lance Keeling, Sean Keeling and Jax Sharum.
