Roy Phillips, 78, of Jenny Lind, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was retired from Exide Battery, a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Faith Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, February 8, at Faith Baptist Church in Jenny Lind with burial at Old Jenny Lind Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Phillips; one son, Paul Phillips of Edmond, OK; one daughter, Jeanette Whitler of Girard, IL; one sister, Ella Harkreader of Greenwood; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Matt Buckner, Ric Hanna, Marty Boyd, Jimmy Harkreader, Joel Carmen and Larry McGee.
