Scott Alan Hathaway of Fort Smith went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the age of 62. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to William Hathaway and Inez Hathaway. Scott was an alumnus of Northside High School, and a graduate of the University of Arkansas- School of Architecture. He worked at several firms in Fort Smith, before starting his own firm, Hathaway Architectural Designs in 2019. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and enjoyed restoring his 1980 MG BC. He was an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Shelia; daughters, Kara Greene (James) and Kaitlyn McGrew (Nate); grandsons, Dean and JD Greene; his father, William Hathaway; stepmother, Betty Hathaway; brother, Steven Hathaway (Zoe), mother-in-law, Ann Pike and brother-in-law, Steve Pike. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (Inez) Hathaway and his father-in-law, Carroll Pike.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 30 at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with burial at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Friday from 3 – 7 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Scott Archer, Mark Beckham, Tom Gean, Barney Puckett, Dennis Waggoner and Frank Whiting.
