Tomasa Rogers, 74, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 in Van Buren, Arkansas. She was born March 7, 1950 in Brownsville, Texas to Florencio and Mercedes Gonzales. She was a homemaker, member of Midland Assembly of God Church and attended Cliff Terrace Assembly of God Church in Fort Smith. She was always willing to volunteer her time at church in the nursery, the prison and food ministries, or wherever needed.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Brown of Van Buren and Marcie Rogers of Hackett; one brother, Pete Gonzales and wife, Lisa of Muldrow; one sister, Janie Watson of Fort Smith; one grandson, Chris Provence, three grandchildren, Chasity, Collin and Cadence and two great grandchildren, Blakein and Arley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Rogers.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, April 4 at Midland Assembly of God Church with burial at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
