Vala Jean Patrych, 72, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born February 18, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas. Vala was a retired X-Ray Technician.

She is survived by her husband, Marek Patrych of the home; one son, Justin Patrych and wife, Celeste of Fort Smith; several brothers and sisters and two grandchildren, Riley Overose and Chase Overose. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alicja Overose.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Arkansas.
