Virginia G. Spicer, 74, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a beautician for over 50 years. She loved the outdoors, traveling, her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time at Beaver Lake. She was a friend to many and a sister to some.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, at Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Big Sandy Cemetery in Huntsville at 3 p.m. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Tuesday from 1 – 8 p.m. at Greenwood First Baptist Church, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Spicer; one son, Sean Spicer and wife, Angie of Lavaca; one daughter, Wanda Mooney of Fort Smith; one sister, Janice Smith of Aurora, Colorado; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burl and Cova Smith.
Pallbearers will be Pat Moore, Kelly Moore, Bill Spicer, Jonathon Spicer, Joey Mooney and Clay Mooney.
