

W.A. “Bill” Swink, 81, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in his home. He was a retired Pipe Fitter, member of Local 798 in Tulsa, veteran of the U.S. Navy and the Korean War, member of the Greenwood First Free Will Baptist Church, Silver Teen Sunday School Class, and an adamant Hog Fan.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Billie Scott of Washburn; two sons, Adair Swink and John Swink, both of Ione; one sister, Paulona Kannady of Pocola; two brothers, Danny Swink of Fort Smith and John Swink of Stephenville, TX; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at the Greenwood First Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Bell Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Randy Swink, Dalton Richardson, Bobby Wallace, Stewart Shackelford, Daniel Dye, Matt Swink, Allen Holmes, and Zach Peters.
