He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine, a son, Denis Nipp, six siblings, and a second wife, Francis.
He was born in Erath County, Texas December 22, 1920. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and World War II, a member of the Church of Christ, and a mechanic for over forty years, including at his own shop, Pigg and Nipp Garage in Van Buren. He is survived by his sons, Lewis and Daymon, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7 at Clarks Chapel Cemetery south of Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
