

William Ray Perkins, 60, of Greenwood Arkansas passed away at home on January 22, 2017 after a strong fight against cancer. William was born August 14, 1956 to Leslie William Perkins and Letha Genell McGarrah. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Thomas and Lula Belle Perkins, maternal grandparents, Floyd and Grace Morgan and a brother, William Lloyd Perkins. William retired in 2014 from 71 Auto Body Works after 21 years, where he was co-owner with longtime friend, Thomas Gillooley.
William is survived by his wife, Cheryl Perkins; one son, Lloyd Perkins and wife, Randi of Springdale; one daughter, Sarah Snell and husband, Shawn of Alma; two brothers, Billy Ray Perkins and wife, Pat of Hoschton GA and Robert Perkins and wife, Carol of Van Buren; two sisters, Dorothy Gable and Linda McAlister both of Booneville; four grandsons, Braxton, Bryce, and Brady Perkins and Jack Snell.
William was a son, brother, friend, classmate, cowboy, husband, provider, father, role model, businessman, and a Granddad.
William was humble, kind and treated everyone with respect and loved his family and close friends.
A celebration of William's life will be held 10 a.m., Saturday January 28 at Valley View Church of Christ in Greenwood with visitation to follow the service. Cremation was under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
