Alice Lynn Beers

Alice Lynn Beers, 73 of Gresham OR, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016. She was born on August 23, 1942 in San Jose, California to John and Rexie Carter. She graduated from high school in Anchorage, Alaska and attended college for music studies. Alice married Gary Lionel Beers on September 14, 1968 in Portland, Oregon. She enjoyed playing piano and organ. She played for many church services, weddings and funerals. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, baking, skating and loved the Oregon Coast.

Alice is survived by her husband Gary Beers of Gresham OR; son Gary Beers (Trina); daughter Lynette Randall (Rick); brother Jon Carter; grandchildren Joshua Beers, Justin Beers (Melanie), Nikanna Farmer (Jacob), Ryan Beers, Spencer Beers and Dominic Beers and great granddaughter Alice Beers.

A Celebration of Alice’s Life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Mountainview Christian Church, 1890 NE Cleveland Avenue, Gresham, Oregon. Private inurnment at White Birch Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon. Contributions may be made as donations in Alice’s name to www.snowmanfoundation.org or to www.worldvision.org as suggestions. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
