

Barbara was born October 17, 1932 in Peterborough, New Hampshire to Vasco R. Gasperoni and Helen Wohlfarth.
Barbara entered the Airforce soon after graduating from High School where she met her future Husband. They settled down after they both left the Airforce in the small town of East Falmouth Massachusetts where they raised five children. They emigrated to Australia in the early 70s only to end up in Hawaii soon after, finally moving to Oregon in 1974.
There was always a pot of Spaghetti sauce on the stove, cookies in the cupboard, chocolate chip Bread Pudding in the fridge and an extra place or places at the table for friends, neighbors and those in need.
Many a Holiday Dinner was graced by new friends and those in need welcomed and embraced as one of the family. Warm hearted and always kind in words and deeds, always bringing a smile to those who met her and worked with her.
A enthusiast for puzzles, crosswords and card games, she was always up for a challenge and delighted in doing these with family.
Later in life she delighted in traveling and seeing every corner of the world. Looking through the many albums of travel pictures with family and friends never ceased to bring her joy and her stories would always bring a smile.
She found great joy in all of her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
She is survived by three sisters, Mary, Joan and Nancy, her daughter Janna and three sons, Andrew, Wayne and Robert, 12 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Brother and oldest daughter Debbie.
A private committal service for Barbara will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd, Portland, OR 97030.
