Barbara Jangula Preston

Barbara Preston died on April 4, 2011 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 95. She was born on February 18, 1916 in Zeeland, North Dakota to Peter and Anna (Wankler) Jangula. Barbara was a cook at Alice Ott School. She retired from Jantzen Knitting Mills. Barbara enjoyed gardening. She was an awesome cook. Nobody could beat her fried chicken homemade bread and tea-time tassies. She was a super mom, friend and grandma. She will be in our hearts forever. Barbara left this world the same as she lived it- "with dignity".

Barbara is survived by her son James "Jim" and his wife Sharon Dexter, of LaPine, OR., two daughters, Ruby and her husband Wayne Claflin, of Sandy, OR., and Shirley and her husband Jimmy Nettrouer, of Gladstone, OR., 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Lester Preston, daughter Verna Sparks, daughter-in-law Geraldine Dexter, 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral Service will be Friday, April 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon followed by and concluding graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.
