Barry James Roberts (formerly Brunt) passed away on June 21st, 2017, at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife Donna, son Kai, and family Marcela and Isabella. Barry was born in Clipstone, Nottingham, England and joined the British Royal Marines at the age of 15, where he served in the Royal Marine Band for 15 years, gaining extensive experience in playing the clarinet and violin while traveling the world. Not surprisingly, he was released with a character described as “very good”. After completing his service he immigrated to the U.S. and earned a Master’s Degree in Geography at P.S.U. He taught 30 years in the Reynolds school district, and he retired with his wife Donna in their quiet Gresham home. He loved cars (especially Porsches) and greatly enjoyed watching F1 races with his son. Barry’s favorite hobbies included going out to eat and telling stories or jokes to his granddaughter and anyone else lucky enough to have a conversation with him. He will be dearly missed.
