August 25, 1939 – October 8, 2025
With her family by her side, Bette passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and a boundless spirit.
Born on August 25, 1939, she was raised on a farm in Dayton, Oregon — a place that sparked her lifelong love of animals, nature, and the simple joys of rural life. She later became a cherished member of the Corbett, Oregon community, where she raised her four children and formed deep, lasting bonds in the small, tight-knit town she called home.
She was full of life — fun-loving, adventurous, and always dreaming. Her spirit drew people to her, and her love for others was unwavering and freely given. She made friends easily and held them dearly.
Over the years, she wore many hats. She worked at Menucha Retreat and Conference Center alongside close friends and later taught ceramics and engraving at Job Corps, where she shared her creative talents with young people. An artist at heart, she loved anything that sparkled, and her passion for art infused every part of her life.
In her later years, she embraced her nomadic wandering spirit, taking to the road in her RV and chasing adventure wherever it called her. One of her favorite journeys was taking her grandson, Kilyn, to find wild mustangs — a dream inspired by a movie they both loved. She brought this adventure to fruitions with determination and with Loving devotion for her Family.
She will be most remembered for her radiant love — a love that touched everyone who knew her. She gave it freely, and it was returned in kind.
Her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to know her, will carry her loving joyful spirit with them always.
