

Betty Lea Blakley of Gresham, Oregon passed away August 14, 2011. She was born November 27, 1923 in St. Edward, Nebraska, at home, to Ed and Anna Peterson. Betty moved to Oregon with her parents at a young age. Betty spent most of her career as a bookkeeper and office manager for auto dealerships and Edgefield Lodge.
In 1946, she married Carl Blakley in Oregon, and raised four children with him. Betty was known as a laid back and honest woman. She would give advice, but only when asked for, and could keep a secret for any of her friends or family.
She enjoyed reading, traveling with her husband in their motor home and was an avid
Trailblazers fan.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, daughter Lana Pledger, sister Anna Mae, and brother Eldon. She is survived and missed by her three children:
Linda and Leon Woosley of Gresham, Karen Krager of Gresham and Les and Kathleen Blakley of Mead, Washington, as well as 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held August 22, 2011, at 11:00 am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in
