She met Charles Hubert in the fall of 1940 and they married in July of 1941. They moved out to Oregon during the war and settled in the Gresham area in 1953. There, they raised four boys. Ron (who preceeded his mother in death), Ken, Jerry and Lester.
Betty loved gardening, camping and boating. She will be remembered for her constant smile, easy manner and her fried chicken and potato salad which were the cornerstones of many holiday functions and water skiing adventures.
A memorial service will be held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham at 2 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2016.
