

Beverly Joan Robbins, 75 of Damascus OR, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was born on August 20, 1939 in Carbon, Iowa to Stanley and Thelma (Pattison) Dhone and was a 1957 graduate of Corbett High School. Joan married Tay Lee Robbins on August 20, 1960 in Reno, Nevada. She worked from 1975 until her retirement in 1995 as a cook with the Reynolds School District. Joan enjoyed ceramics, traveling abroad, shopping and casinos. She was known for her cinnamon rolls and for her support of Doernbecher Hospital and the military.
Joan is survived by her husband Tay Robbins of Damascus OR; daughters Susan Mutschler (Robert) of Portland OR, Shelley Grimsrud (Matthew) of Hillsboro OR, Shari Robbins (Marc Dickinson) of Wood Village OR and Sarah Tscheu (Jeff) of Damascus OR; brothers Jack Dhone (Tiny) of Gresham OR, Claude Dhone (Karen) of Wood Village OR, Bob Dhone (Linda) of Grants Pass OR and Jim Dhone (Lora) of Corbett OR; grandchildren Brandon Mutschler, Courtney Mutschler, Kaycee Sargent, Rachel Leos-Gutierrez, Jake Grimsrud, Candice Sharp, Amanda Krieger, Christopher Krieger, Taylor Tscheu and Caitlyn Tscheu and great grandchildren Ava Mutschler, Mason Mutschler, Brayden Sharp, Shayla Sharp, Jordan Sharp and Awnicka Floyd. She was preceded in death by her sister Rosemarie Dhone Sorenson in 1994 and her brother Rod Dhone in 2013.
A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Private interment at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Donations may be made as contributions to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
