Brandon was Adventurous. He loved fishing and riding motorcycles. Brandon loved to build and fly airplanes with his dad. Skydiving was one of his wishes/bucket list. At the age of five, he was an aspiring jet fighter pilot. He always had a passion for aviation. This is one of the last things he got to do before his body gave out. Ironically, I found out today, they have a cure for H.D. It supposedly wards off the disease by 75%.
Unfortunately it didn’t come in time for Brandon. His little body was so ravaged by this awful disease; there was no chance of reversing the symptoms. Ultimately, Brandon passed away earlier this evening just after I held his hand, and blew him kisses, promising the next visit, I would bake him his favorite cookies. He was happy, and usually gets excited about goodies, but not today. He looked at me and said, “I’m tired” with that, I said “I will see you again soon, and I love you buddy.”
About an hour later, I got a call from his caretakers, who said “come back.” I knew. I just knew he was gone. My tears and panic turned into calm as I felt a change in my mood. I believe he passed on at that moment. He let me know he was going home.
I know he is with Jesus now. He loved Jesus so much, and he let everyone know it. My son was a Christian in his later years of life. A true Christian man. I thank God knowing he is in God's hands. Brandon is up there in his very own plane, flying through the sky. I am going to miss him so badly. My son, R.I.P. and know, I will always be with you, as I promised years ago.
Brandon is survived by his mother Debra Gallo of Troutdale OR; daughter Baylee Boston of Bothell WA; brothers August Turic of Salt Lake City UT and Casey Ray Rojahn of Nampa ID and sisters Cassandra Stafford of Pascoag RI and Carrie Rojahn of Nampa ID.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America at HDSA.org in Brandon’s name.
