

Bryan David Blefgen passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 59. He was born in Hermiston, Oregon, on June 25, 1967, to Edward Joseph and Edna Margaret (Heise) Blefgen.
The youngest of four children, Bryan grew up in a home adjacent to the Gresham Golf Course, where he spent his past time collecting and selling golf balls. He graduated from Sam Barlow High School in 1986 and lived in the Portland and Gresham area where he had various landscape and gardening interests and jobs. Following his father Edward’s death, he provided care for his mother, Edna, sharing companionship and their home in Gresham.
He is survived by his dog, Frankie; sister, Patricia (Mark) Bagley; brothers, Gary (Sara) Blefgen and Greg (Shari) Blefgen; nieces and nephews, Allen Bagley (Jen), Peter Bagley, Tiana Fough (Jacob), and Sierra Blefgen; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews: Peyton, Avery, and Boone Fough, and Rose, George, and Patrick Bagley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edna Blefgen, and his nephew, Daniel.
Bryan enjoyed riding motorcycles, golfing, small engine repair, collecting unique memorabilia, fireworks, Sunday afternoon drives with his mom, the ocean and spending time with family and friends. He had a compassionate heart and deeply loved his parents, pets, and extended family.
A Mass and Celebration of Bryan’s life will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church (date & time TBD), 1260 N.E. 132nd Ave., Portland, OR. Upon confirmation of the date and time for the service, this obituary will be updated, and the family will notify friends and family.
The family wishes to express special thanks to everyone who has reached out with prayers, kind words, and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bryan’s memory to a charity of choice that reflects Bryan’s deep love, care and compassion for animals.
