“Carolyn Lucille Kramer, a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on September 25, 1934, in Albany, Oregon, Carolyn was a cherished daughter to the late Bud and Etheyl Howard.
Carolyn attended The Dalles High School and later pursued her passion by attending Beauty School. She went on to have a successful career as a Beautician and salon owner and after retiring Carolyn and Kenny loved traveling with their close friends, even seeing the Great Wall of China.
While in high school, Carolyn met the love of her life, David “Kenny” Kramer, and they were married on May 2, 1953. Together, they built a beautiful family and life in Portland, Oregon.
Carolyn's family was her pride and joy. She was proceeded in death by her husband David “Kenny”Kramer and sister Marilyn Beatty Howard. She is survived by her son David Kramer(Kathy) and daughter, Pam Bodle (Terry) and nephews Terry Beatty(Debbie) and Tim Beatty(Carol). Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren: Kelly, Kyle, KC, Carly, and David, as well as eleven great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was actively involved in her community as a member of the Widowed Elks and several card groups. She loved her friends and family dearly and was always willing to try something new, even as far as a keg stand on her grandson’s 21st birthday at 72 years young. Her personal interests included travel, playing cards with friends and making occasional trips to the Casinos, and she especially loved watching the Portland Trailblazers and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life in Carolyn's honor will be held at the Gresham Elks Club on Sunday, April 26th, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, at 3330 NE Divisions, Gresham, OR 97030. Light appetizers and White Russians will be served.
Carolyn will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.”
