On April 14th, we had to say goodbye to a truly wonderful man.
Christopher Donald Kelly was born in February of 1978 to Donald and Patricia Kelly. He was the youngest of three, with two older sisters, Jenni and Kari, who loved to dote on him.
From a young age, Chris had a strong work ethic and began working early. Some of his favorite high school jobs included Round Table Pizza and Wendy’s. After graduation, he worked at TLR alongside his mom and later moved on to Autofina. It was during that time he was able to buy his dream car—a cute little Honda Prelude—which he was so proud of.
Chris met Brandy when he was around 18, and they quickly became close friends. By the time he was 22, they made their relationship official and never looked back. Brandy was a single mom, and Chris embraced her daughter, Kaylee, as his own from the very beginning. Together, they built a beautiful life and welcomed three more daughters: Ashlin, Savannah, and Brooklyn. Chris was the ultimate girl dad—patient, funny, and always present. Three years ago, he became a grandpa to little Lola, and he loved her beyond words.
Since 2004, Chris worked at the Fred Meyer Distribution Center. For 20 years, he showed up with dedication and heart, working alongside people who became like family.
Chris will be remembered for many things: his sharp and often inappropriate sense of humor, his ever-growing collection of barbecues he used to cook for everyone, his love of a big-screen TV, and most importantly, the way he cared for those around him. He was a man who showed up, gave fully, and loved deeply.
He was superseded by death by his mom, Patti and his best dog, Paxton.
He will be missed more than words can ever express.
A celebration of Chris’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Kelly family residence. Please reach out to the family directly for further details.
