Danny Lea Bolen

Danny grew up in Spokane, Washington and moved to Portland in 1984. Danny was a sheet metal Journeyman. He enjoyed woodworking, Seattle Mariner Baseball, going to the beach and being with his grandchildren. He was an avid gardener who enjoyed planting flowers.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Bolen, Gresham, OR., daughter Christi Staples and her husband Jon, of Gresham, OR., mother, Dora Woods, Spokane, WA., brother, Gerald Bolen, Spokane, WA, two grandchildren, Alex and Samantha Staples, Gresham, OR. and his best friend, Bo Yang, of Tigard, Oregon.

Danny was preceded in death by his sister Jean Jones and his father, Jack Woods.

Donations may be given the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.

A memorial service will be on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 2 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon.
