David William Benz, age 72, passed away suddenly on June 27, 2026, at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital in Clackamas, Oregon. He was born on September 25th, 1953, in Oregon City, Oregon. He was the only child of his parents William D Benz and Jeanne Simmons Benz.
David grew up in Oregon City and Graduated from Oregon City High School in 1971.After Graduating he went to work at Blue Heron paper mill for many years. He later worked for the City Of Portland Maintenance Dept.
David is survived by his longtime partner Peggy Adams of Gresham Oregon, his children, Heather Benz, Eugene Or, Chad Benz, Eugene, Or and Alisa Benz Cobb, CA, 5 grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
David especially loved the Oregon coast and had many happy days spent there over the years.
He will be remembered for his generosity and his happy, positive, kind and loving nature. He always had something nice to say to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.
