David Lloyd Steele

David Lloyd Steele, 63, of Gresham, passed away February 24, 2015. David was born to Donald and Alicia (Maple) Steele and was raised in the Portland and Gresham areas with six siblings. During high school David was very involved in sports, leadership and choir. Following high school David married his high school sweet heart Michelle Steffl and together they raised four children. David completed his associate’s degree. He worked at Safeway in Damascus, Oregon. He retired from Safeway after 18 years of service. Always positive, never complained, and loved his children deeply were just a few of the many words used to describe David and how he lived his life. David also enjoyed water skiing, camping, ping pong, pool, golf and softball. David was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Alicia(Maple) Steele; and sister Diane Hefty. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Michelle; children, Heather, Chad, Kimberly, and Courtney; grandchildren, Seth, Chloe, Dillan , Madilyn, Deacon, Keira, Taila, Kinsley, Colton, Milena; and siblings, Myrna, Leanne, Linda, Janene, and Donald. David will be deeply missed.
