David Wayne Williams (Dave, DW) born, September 21, 1955 in Long Beach California to Darlene Condors and James Burt Williams, died in the early morning of October 20, 2020, from cancer, at 65 years old. He passed away in his Gresham home, surrounded by his wife and daughter, as he was a private man that liked to keep things simple.
Dave moved around a lot as he was growing up but found peace in music, mostly singing and square dancing, where he would call and dance. Most people when recalling memories of his youth talk about his great signing voice and his exuberate energy. Square dancing is were at the age of twelve he met his wife, Dianna, they were fast friends and after Dave moved away, they lost touch. At 19 years old they were reunited and married a year later; they just celebrated their forty-fourth wedding anniversary. They had two children during their marriage. Dave was a fighter and fought with every ounce of his being to provide and make sure that he and his family had a better life than he had. Dave had a huge heart and tried to help whenever he could. He proposed to his sister-in-law by taking the phone from his brother Jim and asking if she would be his sister-in-law? At the age of fifteen he started working in restaurants which is where he learned to cook so well, he taught a lot of people in his life how to cook but he never measured out ingredients, making it hard to give out his recipes. He worked in the pet business most of his adult life, starting out as a truck driver and making his way to sales, he and his wife owned a pet store for a short time then he made his way to corporate pet sales. Over the last 20 years of his working life he worked at WPA where he was the vice president of sales for this not for profit company. He was able to travel with the company and was able to take his wife and share in these experiences together. They got to travel to Italy, Germany and many other places around the world, where they made a lot of great friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed growing house plants to give to others, working in his yard, planting in his garden and camping with his family.
He is survived by his wife Dianna Williams; his daughter Jessica Snow; his son-in-law Jack Snow; his mother-in-law Jeanene Kuhnau; his three grandsons Brandon Snow, Brayden Magnan and Brodey Snow; his sister Sharon Sauer; sister-in-law Trish Williams and Tammi Kuhnau; brother-in-law Mark Sauer and Don Kuhnau; three nephews and seven nieces.
