Domitilia DeSoto Espenel

Domitilia graduated from Grants High School in Grants, New Mexico in 1963.

Domitilia married Gerald Espenel on January 14, 1967 in Cubero, New Mexico.

She was a catholic. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society, Oregon Humane Society and was a school classroom volunteer.

Some of Domitilia’s interests included dancing, camping, hunting, singing (loved music), loved animals and was involved with animal rescue. She loved making flower arrangements and was awarded for this at the Portland Rose Festival Show.

Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon.

Domitilia is survived by her loving husband Gerald, son Bryan and his wife Jaime Espenel, daughter Renee and her husband John Morrow, granddaughter, Julianna Espenel, and her five siblings, Emily Holguin, Vina Padilla, Fernando DeSoto, Joseph DeSoto and Elizabeth Vann.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Alzheimer’s Organization.

Domitilia was a very brave and courageous woman who will be greatly missed.
