

Donald served in the United States Navy from February 25th, 1948 to February 19th, 1952. He then served in the Air Force from June 22nd, 1953 to September 15th, 1953.
Donald was married to his first wife, Donna Goody, in Hood River. He then married Marion Goody until she passed on February 20th, 1995. He then married Lenore Goody, and they were married until she passed on October 10th, 2008.
Donald worked on the fishing boats in Alaska for many years, until an injury prevented him from continuing to do so. After he returned from Alaska, he became a Police Officer with the Salem Police Department, where he worked for several years. After leaving the police force, he then worked for Pacific Seafood Company, where he worked in the warehouse and in sales, as well as a driver. He did this for many years, and he loved the seafood industry. Finally, he went to work for Willamette National Cemetery. He retired from Willamette National Cemetery as a groundskeeper once his wife Marion became ill, so he could take care of her.
Donald was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and trips to the beach with Marion.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elsie Goody, his wife Marion and his wife Eleanor. In addition, his two brothers Robert Goody and Raymond Goody also preceded him in passing. He is survived by his step children, Becky, Roger, Rachelle, Rebecca, and RaeAnn; his granddaughter, Melissa; his nieces Cheryl and Janice, and nephews Ray and Darren Goody. He was loved and will be missed.
A Committal Ceremony will take place on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017, at 2:00 pm at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. He will be buried with full military honors.
