Donald Eddy Pierce, 86 of Gresham OR, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011. He was born on March 30, 1925 in Bellows Falls, Vermont to Edward and Ethel (Dowlin) Pierce. He grew up in Saxons River and Bellows Falls, where he graduated High School and also attended Texas A & M. He served in the US Navy as an Aviation Electronic Technician’s Mate from 1943 to 1947. He married Evelyn Marie Marston on June 8, 1947 in Gresham, Oregon. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed tinkering, boats, music, organ playing, aviation, camping, fishing and woodworking. He was an outstanding dad, being kind, gentle, chivalry and respectable and was a loyal and devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Pierce of Gresham OR; son David Pierce of Gresham OR and daughter Donna Seaton of Bend OR.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
