

Donald was born on February 5, 1952 in Odessa, Texas and was the son of Clifford and Edith (Baker) Williams. At age 9, he moved with his family to Grants Pass, Oregon where he worked for the Forest Service and graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1971. He moved to California where he attended a year of Community College and worked for the Parks Department in Thousand Oaks, California.
In 1975 he moved to Portland and on March 3, 1977 he married Bonnie Anderson at the Holgate Baptist Church in Portland. He worked as a Famers Insurance Agent for 7 years then at the Boring School district for 9 years retiring in 1992.
Donald was a member of the American Dog Breeders Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and rock hounding. He was also a great craftsman who made wonderful keepsakes for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Portland, daughter, Kristie Blanchard of Oregon City, brother, Wayne Williams of Yelm, WA and sisters, Carol Reed of Olympia and Mary Carpenter of Troutdale.
A memorial service will be held on November 17, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Cornerstone Masonic Lodge in Portland. Contributions may be made in memory of Donald to the Endangered Breed Association. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
