

Donna Fae (Dunn) Mapes, age 72, of Portland, Oregon passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2023. Donna was born February 8, 1951, in Prairie City, Oregon.
Donna was the daughter of Donald Dunn and Grace Dellett, and had one younger brother, Don Dunn, Jr. The family left John Day, Oregon, and moved to the Portland area, where Donna attended Centennial High School. In high school, Donna met her first husband, John Peachey, and had three daughters, Angela, Michelle, and Melissa. The family moved with John while he was in the Marines, living in Virginia and Florida. Before coming back to Oregon, Donna and John divorced. Donna remarried, moving around with her second husband, eventually ending up in Sweet Home, Oregon. After raising her daughters, Donna moved back to the Portland area, and spent the remainder of her older years visiting grandchildren and spending time with her friends, and her mother, Grace Dellett.
Donna worked many jobs, but spent most of her time as a stay at home mother. She enjoyed watching all sports, including those played by her daughters and grandchildren. Her favorite professional and college sports teams were the Portland Trailblazers and the Oregon Ducks. Donna also took up bowling in a league where it was not uncommon for Donna to bowl a 200 or higher. Donna also enjoyed camping with her girls, time at the beach, fishing, reading, and had a soft spot for animals by taking in many strays.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Dunn and Grace Dellett and her brother, Don Dunn, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Angela Lane of Olympia, Washington, Michelle Knoch of Okotoks, Alberta Canada, and Melissa Prichard-Peachey of Manassas, Virginia. Donna has four granddaughters, three grandsons, one great granddaughter. Her fur baby, Leo, is in the loving care of her best friends, Faye and Kelly Faccini.
Donna’s service will be held on February 17th at 11:30 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 West Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. Following the service will be a graveside memorial at Lincoln Memorial Park, 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd in Portland, Oregon.
