Survived by her husband, James F. Newton; sister, Bonnie Jensen; children, Michael Newton and Katrina Newton; grandchildren, Deser'a Newton, Amanda Durr, Zach Newton, and Tyler Ferro; great-grandchildren, George, Adeline, Charlotte, Ethan, and Aiden.
Donnie moved to Portland from Quincy, Illinois in 1948. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1954 in Portland, Oregon, and married James in 1963. She was a member of Tremont Evangelical Church. She enjoyed the RV8ers, and the Bustle Bumpers, and was an avid bowler, bingo player, and little league scorekeeper.
