Dwaine was born September 3, 1931 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Russell and Lulu (Neese) Sichley. He joined the military when he was 17. He entered active duty in 1949 and fought in the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, he went on to work as a lineman for the power company in Kansas and later in Nebraska. Dwaine married Bonnie Schuerman on January 5, 1952 in Kansas. They eventually settled in Oregon over fifty years ago.
Dwaine was a member of the Lutheran Church and attended Ascension Lutheran Church for many years. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Dwaine also loved his John Deere tractor and would take his grandchildren for rides, pulling them around in a trailer hooked to the back. More than anything, Dwaine loved his family and spending time with them. He adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted and faithful husband, number one dad and the greatest papa ever.
Dwaine is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Damascus, Oregon; son, Chris Sichley of Damascus, Oregon; daughters, Cheryl Fidler of Gresham, Oregon; Cathy Hughes of Portland, Oregon; Colleen Sichley of Gresham, Oregon; Corinna Jobe of Gresham, Oregon; brother, Russell Sichley of Gresham, Oregon; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
