Edward Joseph Bergeron

Ed was born on January 3, 1932 in Portland, Oregon to his parents, Ernest and Rosemund Thayer.

He was married to his childhood sweetheart and the love of his, Patricia, for 64 years. He also worked many years in his own business operating a hydraulic repair shop. He loved archery, hunting, camping, and playing old-time music on his upright bass with family and friends. He never turned down a chance to go to the beach or out to dinner. Ed always had a joke to tell. Everybody loved Ed.

He is survived by a son and daughter, four grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation and viewing will be held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, located at 520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, Oregon, 97030, on November 16, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Ed will be laid to rest next to his wife at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in a private ceremony.
