A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, with Pastor Jamie Worley of Powell Valley Covenant Church officiating.
Jackie was born September 18, 1925, in Horton, Kansas to Emmett and Ethel (Bryant) Saucier. She was raised in Kansas.
On July 18, 1947, she married Russell F. Kirk in Kelso, Washington.
Jackie was a dedicated homemaker, loving wife and wonderful mother for most of her life. She was a member of the Elks and Eastern Star clubs in Gresham. She loved to fish. She also was an accomplished artist in oils, a hunter and taxidermist. She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, canning, sewing, crocheting, wine making, gardening, and hunting mushrooms, rocks and agates.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell F. Kirk, her son, Russell Ray Kirk, her brother, Sonny Saucier, and her sisters, Shirley Salvey, Emilene Fenton, Lois Henderson and Leona Mae Kipfer.
Survivors include her daughter Diane Lettau of Palm Springs CA; sons Jack Kirk of Gresham OR and David Kirk of Molalla OR; stepdaughter JoAnn Cronk of Portland OR; sisters Fay DeVincolis of Canon GA, Darlene Shmidt of Powhatan VA and Georgia Davis of Lake Oswego OR; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
