Eva A Tovey, age 91, was born in Madison, Minnesota on December 27, 1921 to parents Lamont and Gladys McLagan, and was the 3rd of 12 children.. She quietly passed away on September 20, 2013. Eva was a wonderful and encouraging woman who treasured time with her family and friends. She made everyone feel loved. Eva worked for a time as a hairdresser, as a nurse, and was a wonderful mother who shared her caring nature with many young people. She was very creative, and enjoyed oil painting, sewing, crocheting and had a love for flowers. She would say she was a “jack of all trades, master of none”, and even helped to build her house many years ago. Eva loved her God, family, friends, and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home on Friday October 4, 2013 at 2:00pm. Eva was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Hayden. She is survived by her daughter Gladys Goble and son-in-law Jerry, sons Rick Miller and his wife Eileen, Scott Miller, as well as 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
