

Former Corbett resident Evangeline Carol Cermack, 79 of Portland OR, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015. She was born on June 25, 1936 in Independence, Wisconsin to Jarvis and Marcella (Dahl) Kilness. She was a 1954 graduate of Corbett High School and also completed classes at Hastings Business College before working as a secretary for over thirty years. She was actively involved and was a member at Rockwood Church of God. Evangeline was an avid Blazer and Mariner fan and loved her dog – Zora. She also loved her grandchildren and rarely missed any of their sporting events in the area.
Evangeline is survived by her daughters Jennifer Strong (Tom) of Portland OR and Pamela Cermack (Lisa Mienke) of Helena MT; son Kenneth Cermack of Fairview OR; sister Jean Heller Ward (John) of San Jose CA; brother Dewayne Kilness (Nancy) of Boring OR; grandchildren Meagan Solberg (Gage), Monica Pettigrove, Mary Cermack and Joshua Cermack and great grandson Michael Brandon.
A Celebration of Evangeline’s Life will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Private inurnment at Douglass Pioneer Cemetery in Troutdale, Oregon. Contributions may be made as Donations to the Oregon Humane Society.
