George married Ann Warkentin on December 23, 1949 in Waukegan, Illinois. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He moved from Wisconsin to Oregon in 1990. He was an east Portland resident. George was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and liked playing the guitar.
Survivors include his wife Ann of Portland, OR., son Mark and his wife Pat Borski of Gresham, OR., daughter Georg-Ann Zieger of Fairfax, Virginia, three brothers, Edward and his wife Betty Borski of Baraboo, Wisconsin, Albert Borski of Richland Center, Wisconsin and William and his wife Peg of Brookfield, Wisconsin, sister Patricia and her husband David Komar of New Berlin, Wisconsin, 2 grandchildren, Daniel and Alissa Borski and 1 great grandchild, Kaia Iranon.
