George Lewis Klinger, 75 of Troutdale OR, passed away peacefully with friends and family at his side on Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was born on October 24, 1937 in Roundup, Montana to Lewis and Clara (Harris) Klinger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and married Carole Baker in 1958 at Fort Ord, California. He was an auto body instructor at Mt. Hood, Clark and Clackamas Community Colleges and was an arbitrator for Portland Auto Auction for over twenty years. He enjoyed hunting with his buddies and working in his shop.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Carole Klinger of Troutdale OR; his daughter Dawn Klinger of Corbett OR; his brothers Jerry and Glenn Klinger both of Gresham OR and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Christopher Scott Klinger in 1980.
No Services will be held at his request. Donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to the charity of one’s choice in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
