Gordon W. Sewell of Gresham died on Sunday April 1, 2012. He was born July 14, 1939 to parents Benjamin and Eunice Sewell in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended high school there, graduating from South High in 1957, moving to Oregon in 1963. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
In 1978 he married Bonnie. They were married over 33 years. Gord was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying golf, baseball, hockey, and football-nearly anything. He also spent his spare time fixing things around the house, usually getting hurt in the process. He was a wonderful story teller; always making sure the listeners got every last detail of the story being told, and a trivia buff. His family was the center of his world; he loved to spend time with them. He became mellower as he aged, and was especially kind-hearted to the grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie, of Gresham; sons Mark, Scott, Aaron, and Eric; daughters Debbie and Karen; brothers Paul and David, as well as 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
