Harry Sinn III, 60, of Kirkland, Washington, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024. His family was at his side.
Harry was born in New York City on September 11, 1964, and in 1972 moved with his family to Corbett, Oregon. He graduated early from Corbett High School and, at age 15, enrolled at Portland State University, where he earned several undergraduate degrees. He then moved to the Seattle area to begin an internship with a fledgling Microsoft Corporation, which marked the start of a challenging career as project manager for an array of international high-tech companies.
Harry maintained intense interest in computers, cars, movies, anime, food and the martial arts. Many of those closest to him belonged to a Seattle-area martial arts club, which comprised an eclectic group of likeminded mates who cherished Harry’s devotion and friendship. He was an enthusiastic member of a food-lovers club that traveled to cities around the country and explored local culture. He also treasured a core of longtime friends in and around Portland. Harry was revered by family, friends and coworkers alike. All admired his keen intellect, kind nature, gentle spirit, tenacious work ethic and remarkable generosity.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry Sinn Jr., his mother Mitzi, five aunts and several cousins. He is survived by his sister Susan Sinn of Portland and her life partner Mark, along with two aunts and many cousins.
Arrangements by Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, Gresham, Ore.
