Helen L. Hamby died on September 28, 2013 in Gresham, Oregon at the age of 81. Helen, the youngest of six girls, was born on December 23, 1931 in DeKalb, Texas to John Thomas and Susie Mae (Cook) Bunger.
Helen retired from working at Bank of America. She was a member of Church of Christ. She earned her college associates degree while in her 60’s. Helen enjoyed cooking, sewing and being a grandmother.
Private Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon.
Helen is survived by her two sisters, Lucille Flatt, Dalles, TX., Louise Burkhalter, Simms, TX., three sons, Dewayne Russ, of Texas, James Gregory Hamby, Troutdale, OR., Robert B. Hamby, Halfway, OR. daughter Jean Underwood of Portland OR, Grandchildren: Spencer Russ, Alisha Russ, Rebecca Ann Hamby, Ariel, Tanner and Hailey Hamby, Lacie Baumer, Robert and Joseph Lowther; Greater granddaughter, Brooklynn Taylor Hooker and many nieces and nephews.
