Officer Blazer was a Brave & Bold Policeman that I had the Distinct Pleasure of Assisting in Our War on Crime at the Lloyd Center. 

He was Our Spiritual Figurehead and We Moved Mountains for Jack and His Colleagues in Portland Police. 

The Man had a Profound Impact on Our Lives.

Portland Police Officer Blazer, Jack you Influenced the Course of My Career and Will be Forever Remembered for Your Bravery, Heroism, Leadership and Compassionate Commitment to Personal, Professional and Public Safety.

Jack would stop by the store where I worked at the mall and say 'hi'. He didn't have to do that, he barely knew me. When he walked by the store and saw me working, he would wave or stop in say 'hi' and visit for a minute or two. 
It was such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to me--then and now.

I have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for Jack.  He faced his challenges and adversities with courage and dignity, and was an inspiration to us all.  I am truly saddened by his passing.  His family has lost a remarkable man.

I have lots of special memories of Jack growing up.  Like the time Jack & Keith were staying at Mom-mom's and I tried to put them in the wrong chairs for dinner.  Instant hysteria until Mom-mom told me what I was doing wrong.  They were only babies and little did I know then that routine is so important at that age.  Jack had many challenges and was so strong through it all.  He gave us many smiles.   He will be missed, but there is a little comfort in knowing he is loved and finally at peace.
