Joanne May Vickery

She enjoyed her job as a school librarian in the Parkrose School District, but the love of her life was her family. Husband, Doug, was always in her heart, as were her children, Douglas (Glenda), Marc, Roger (Candy), Paul (Samantha), and Lisa (Larry). She also cherished her grandchildren, Ben (Virginia), Jordan, Meghan (Devin), Adam (Brianne), Tyler, Drew, Kali and Morgan, as well as her great-grandchildren Clay, Maylee, Raegan and Josey.

Joanne and Doug built a home on acreage in Boring, OR, as their retirement “farm”. Here Joanne had the opportunity to enjoy activities that filled her days - gardening, cooking, weaving, canning, decorating and of course celebrating birthdays, and other family events.

Joanne and Doug loved to travel. It might have been a car trip exploring the PNW, a journey across the oceans or simply a trip down the valley or up the gorge to visit family. Each trip was an adventure.

She was preceded in death by husband Doug, her son Paul and her grandson Jordan.

Services for Joanne will be at 11AM on June 23rd at the Bateman Carroll Chapel in Gresham, followed by a family graveside service.
