John will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He carried himself with steady honesty and loyalty, meeting life with patience and a gentle strength that never needed to announce itself. In both quiet moments and everyday responsibilities, his thoughtful, kind-hearted nature and compassionate regard for others were evident—offered not for recognition, but because it was simply who he was.
A hard-working man who was most at ease when he was doing something with his hands, John brought care and purpose to whatever was in front of him. His generous spirit showed in the way he helped others, and his presence—reliable, calm, and true—became something many came to lean on and cherish.
John’s interests reflected a life lived fully and with an adventurous streak. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting elk, and coaching baseball, and he took pride in the world of muscle cars and Hardly Davison bikes. He especially enjoyed Christmas, followed the 49ers, and looked forward to yearly bike rides with friends—traditions that spoke to the value he placed on companionship and shared time.
Those who knew John often spoke of his positive outlook and his gift for storytelling. He was, in the truest sense, a man’s man—steady, capable, and grounded—yet always very kind, with a gentle way of showing care through action. John was beloved and cherished, and his absence will be felt deeply by those who carry his memory forward.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Lucille, and his brother, Richard “Dick”. He is survived by his children, John and LeeAnn; his grandchildren, Darian, Ezra, Karissa, Echo, Destini, Brandon, Jayden, and Eliyas; and his best friend and the mother of his children, Linda. Along with friends who love him dearly, and a legacy of kindness, honesty, and generous devotion that will not be forgotten.
