We were so blessed to have Ed and Izetta as neighbors. They believed and acted out Jesus command to “Love your neighbor as yourself”.  Here’s an example. After having several strokes a few years back, I lost my appetite and desire to eat and was losing too much weight too fast.  One evening Ed and Izetta came by. Ed walked up to me with a ‘to go’ container of baked spaghetti from Wall Street Pizza. With his big smile Ed said, “Try this!”  It smelled so good, and he was so convincing. I was finally able to eat that evening. That broke the spell of my not being able to eat and put me back on the mend. And that was not the only time that  Ed and Izetta brought wonderful warm food for us. Thank you both for being such great, loving friends and great neighbors.

Fond memories of our visit with Ed and Izetta last month.  Ed, you made it!  We look forward to seeing you again in the Lord’s Kingdom.

Ed was part of the fabric of our life. Always there, always ready to laugh and enjoy a good story. Hard to believe how fast the years have flown by since we attended church, parties and activities together. Such good times. Ed will always be fondly remembered. Love and condolences to his family.

Ed taught me what a Godly man looks like, sounds like, how he lives, how he loves.  He stood for honesty, integrity, steadfastness, goodness and generosity.  He was faithful, kind and giving.  Fun and funny.  A great blessing to all who knew him.  Now he is in the arms of the angels, brightening heaven.  Forever loving you, Eddie Mello.

My family an I would like to offer our condolences to Isetta Mello and family. We were all saddened by the news of Ed's passing. As former neighbors and friends , we all miss Ed and Isetta very much.

He was a loved grandpa and always had a great sense of life. He taught me to drive a stick and sold me my first truck. He also gave me my family nickname. Although it has been many years since I have seen him, he will be greatly missed.

Eddie Mello, what an amazing person,  the most loving father,  the best friend anyone could ever have,  he cared deeply for you, he stood up for what was right and good,  he was a great giver to anyone who had need of anything,  was a great story teller,  he was very gifted making his  old fence wood items,  he was very busy making for family and friends.  If you were blessed to know him,  you'd know he was  a God send for mom and 
 6 daughters. He will be truly missed and loved forever.  Love you dad.  Cindy

Uncle Eddie was an absolute prince of a man and will be dearly missed.

We are deeply grieved by the loss of our beloved brother-in-law of 46 years,  and a treasured friend since high school. Our deepest condolences to the love of his life, my sister Izetta, their children,  and grandchildren.  We know how much he looked forward to being in Heaven with his friend Jesus, and are content in the knowledge that we will join him for eternity. Rest in peace, Ed.  You have earned your reward.

This man! I’ve loved my sweet Uncle Eddie absolutely long as I have memories. Heaven gained a prince!

You are safely home in the arms of Jesus. I will remember all you did for your family and so many others. You will be sorely missed and I look forward to that GREAT DAY when we will see you again. ❤️

He sure did love Sunday night dinners at moms. He would always express how thankful he was and he was always SO happy to be around family. ❤️
