John was born on November 22, 1942 in Ronan, Montana and was the son of Chester and Nellie (Hansen) Shaffer. He married Mary Winterburn and worked as a siding contractor for 25 years.
John is survived by his wife, Mary and daughter, Teresa.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 11:00 am a the Sunnyside Four Square Church. Contributions may be made in memory of John to Hospice. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
