He then attended OSU and U of O where he graduated in 1975 with his Bachelors in Business.
John was a CPA for 40 years, ultimately owning his own specialized accounting firm. He was passionate about providing the best service for his clients, who both respected and cherished him, as well as his dogs and golf. John resided in Orange County, CA most of his 34 years in California. He retired in October 2013 due to his advancing Parkinson’s.
John was preceded in death by his mother, “Dari”, in 1999. John is survived by his beloved father, Jack Wise (Gresham) and his sister, Carol Meyer, and her significant other, Ron Lealos, (Vancouver).
John was very excited about the upcoming chapter in his life at the Touchmark Parkinson’s Program in Vancouver, WA. Therefore, in lieu of flowers or other expressions of condolences, the family requests that tax-deductible donations be made to the “Touchmark Foundation”, noting "Parkinson's Program In Memory of John Wise" which can be mailed to:

When John walked into a room, everyone who experienced him was immediately touched by his genuine goodness and gentleness. It was obvious to all that John was a caring soul and his authenticity was felt and honored. Those who met John, even briefly, felt his decency and will remember him that way forever.
